I have been trying to figure out how to create a strategy that triggers everytime bollinger bands breakout relative to that of a contraction period, where the bollinger bands contract then as significant moves are made they begin to expand. How would i be able to write that (TOS btw….)? and Thank you for your time ! RESOLVED

You would first need to specify the exact method you would use to measure this pattern. I imagine you might choose to subtract the value of the upper band from the lower band. Then compare that difference from one bar to the next. When the difference increases in value the bands will be moving apart. There are so many details you left out that there is nothing here for me to do. And we don't construct complete chart strategies from scratch here in this Q&A Forum.
