Reference Option Data In An Option Hacker Scan

Hey Pete! I am using the Option Hacker and I am trying to scan for options that are up 10% or more on the day. I tried using the code in the screenshot below but it keeps referencing the stock’s data rather than the option’s. Any ideas on how to make this work? Thanks a ton.

This is an excellent question, so thanks for taking the time to post it.

This topic has been covered thoroughly in this Q&A Forum. However yours is the first to specifically state "Reference Option Data In An Option Hacker Scan". So I believe your question will be very helpful because folks searching for this solution will immediately find this post and understand that is it not possible in the current version of Thinkorswim.

In about 10 minutes I was able to locate the following posts using the search term "options":

https://www.hahn-tech.com/ans/scan-for-call-volume-stock-above-10day-high/

https://www.hahn-tech.com/ans/scan-for-options-with-low-price/

https://www.hahn-tech.com/ans/study-to-scan-for-options-vol-open-int/

https://www.hahn-tech.com/ans/options-change-scanner/

If you examine the answers in each of those posts you will find one common element. The Study Filters provided in the Option Hacker screen do not have access to Options data. They only have access to Stock data. This has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. At least one of those posts I mentioned above includes a section of code you can use to prove this is true.

Clearly this is a feature of Thinkorswim that is lacking. Those who feel this feature is essential to their trading success should submit a feature request to Thinkorswim support requesting this feature be added to a future release of Thinkorswim.

There are many. TradeStation and TastyTrade are two of them that come to mind. I'm sure there are many others.
