I would like to build a core portfolio by cherry-picking the best stocks of the S&P 500 index, but not just on performance. How can I scan for both the best performance, but also the lowest volatility along the way? I’m looking for a scan that I can run maybe only once a year, but that will keep me in well-run companies. I don’t know if this is possible, but in my mind, I’m thinking that if I can pick the best performing stocks over 1, 3, 5, and 10 year periods, and also screen for the ones with the lowest volatility, and adjust the tolerances of these screens so that I actually get some results where the two screens overlap, that would be great. If it can’t be done, that’s okay. Thank you in advance.
