Pete, Im frustrated that ThinkorSwim’s StochRSI has the ability to “scan” for up arrows & nothing ever comes up.  I dont believe this function works, or Im doing something wrong. Would you consider looking over the script  I have provided below & fix this? I’d like to be able to scan for Arrows on the StochRSI. Thank you for any help on this matter.  TOS StochRSI code in attachment.

  1. Since you are requesting a scan, I moved your question out of the "Alerts and Notifications" topic and into the "Stock Scanners" topic.
  2. The code you provided is not a scan. It is a chart study. There is no way to use that as scan without some major modifications.

But there is no need to do any of those modifications. You don't need any code at all. You can build this scan with just a few clicks of your mouse once you learn how to use the Condition Wizard.

Screenshot below shows the basic setup. I have marked 3 user inputs which I modified to format this as a scan for the up arrow signal.

For those looking to learn how to use the Condition Wizard I suggest you study the following video:

When you use the Condition Wizard you don't have to touch any code at all. This is the perfect tool for folks who are "not great at coding". But even seasoned veterans of writing code will find this tool very helpful.

Pete, This is what I wrote into the condition wizard; Plot Scan = StochRSI("rsi length" = 14, "K period" = 10, "slowing period" = 3). "UpSignal" is true wiithin 1 bars; Still receive no hits, even when i up the number of bars or change aggregatiion period. Why is this?

Why would you "write" any code into the Condition Wizard? That is not at all what the video instructs you to do and it does not match the example screenshot I provided. I suggest you go back and review my answer and the attached screenshot and watch the video again. Make sure you follow along with the examples given in the video so you learn how to work this tool. Stop writing code. Keep your hands off the keyboard. You are only allowed to use your mouse!
