Multiple Time Frame Based Indicator of the MACD
This indicator was translated directly from the Thinkorswim version I published years ago on this website. There have been many requests from our viewers to publish this on TradingView and…. well…. here it is!
While creating this indicator I checked it against the signals generated on the Thinkorswim version. When using daily time frames or higher, the signals match. However when you change the settings to use intraday time frames you will find the signals do not match. And that is because the intraday data between TradingView and Thinkorswim is not the same. For example, Thinkorswim provide 24 hour trade data on most stocks and ETF’s, whereas TradingView displays only the trading hours authorized by the exchanges.
