Can the On Balance Volume(OBV) made to be an upper Study like a moving average.

OBV as an upper study in TOS. OBV is a lower study in TOS and its not easy to follow.  I think if it was an upper study like a moving average it would be easier to guage stock price movement.  Thank you.

I have a friend that has MetaStock and the OBV plots with the candlesticks graph (upper study) just FYI I use TOS. Thank you for your help. I enjoy watching your videos.

It would have been good for you to provide a screenshot of that so we could all see it.

Sorry but I need a current chart. Daily time frame. Something common such as AAPL. Needs to be current. Otherwise it is useless and I have no way to compare or test. But thanks.

The OnBalanceVolume study is not compatible with the price graph because it’s values oscillate across the zero line. Sometimes the values are positive and sometimes they are negative. The other very important thing to understand is the values are cumulative based on the start date. When you load more data on the chart, the values will be different than when you have less data loaded on the chart. Overall it is not a good fit for your intended purpose.
