Heiken-Ashi watchlist for candle color, no wick and color change

Hi Pete,

You’ve helped me so much over the last couple of years with your videos and answers to my questions. I actually don’t have a question this time. I just wanted to share a custom watchlist column I created for Heikin Candles that I have found to be useful.  Here are the details:

  • Background color is Red if candle is red or Green if candle is green
  • “No Wick” label appears if current candle is green with no lower wick or red with no upper wick
  • “New” label appear if the the candle has just changed from red to green or green to red.

I’ve attached the script for the column. Thanks again for all of your help!

Thanks for taking the time to provide your solution. The vast majority of traders that use Heiken-Ashi candles will not be looking for just the word "Heiken". So I think I need to update the title of your question so the rest of our viewers are more likely to discover this wonderful solution you posted.

In addition to that I think the title of this question should include what this code actually does. Very important to be specific with the question titles so that other viewers searching for this or a similar solution are more likely to find this post.

I will make those changes but it will break the original URL of this post. You will still be able to find it by clicking the "Profile" link in the left-hand menu under the "User Settings" menu.

I'll update the title and URL within a couple of days.
