Is there a way to display “ticks” in watchlist or scanner results?

TOS has a “tick” you can use to scan stocks but not one where it displays the tick count for that specified period.  Is this possible?  Thanks!

The scan engine in Thinkorswim does not support tick based aggregation periods. This contradicts your statement. Perhaps you can explain further. In that same sentence you seem to be asking if there is a way to display the current count of ticks when viewing a tick based chart. This is displayed by default in the lower right corner of any chart that is set to tick based candles. After considering these details, either I have completely misunderstood your request, or you do not understand the fundamental features available in the Thinkorswim platform. Please provide more details so we can understand your request and respond with a solution.

Oh ok, no problem.

So I want to make a scan of a stocks using regular 15 mins aggregation. Lets say a macd crossover.

In the results tab, I would like to know if a ”ticks” counter can be made to show the previous bar’s 15M candle’s ”tick” count.

Let me know if I am still confusing you.

At this time there is no way to get to the number of ticks in any given time based candle. To expand on this, we cannot read anything about the trades that make up a given time based candle apart from total volume. I see in your comment you mention the results tab. So you are talking about a scan, and you are talking about a custom column in the results of the scan. This question was posted in the ”Chart Studies” topic. Since the topic drives the context of the question I was presuming your question was about a chart study. I will move this post into the ”Watch Lists” topic to place it in the correct context.
