Relative Volume based on time of day for intraday vol analysis

Hi Pete,

Ive had a good look through previous postings and although some people have mentioned it, i havnt been able to find a script to work with, hope you can help!

Im looking for a study that compares one days intraday volume on say a 5 min chart, to the average of up to 15 days (understand this is a limitation) for the same bar.

E.g. today between 9:30 and 9:35AM ET, stock XXX has a volume of 100K shares traded.  The average of the last 15 days 9:30-9:35 bar is actually 75K shares traded, so this will help me understand if the volume being traded is unusual for that time of day.  Im hoping this could be represented as some form of overly on an indicator, i.e average volume bar in the background based on user specified average days, and current volume in the foreground giving a clear visual signal as to when volume is under or over the average for that time of day.

I hope this make sense and you can help, this is a great example of what im looking for:

Sorry but the code required to do this is extremely complicated to achieve in Thinkorswim. I have produced a version for a client previously. It took me six hours to get it working and there were still limitations I could not work around.
