how to smooth price lines in a comparison study

When I add a COMPARISON Study to a chart is there a way to smooth the two price lines displayed?  The smoothing effect would be similar to a moving average except I want a moving average of each symbol.

There is no way to do this with the built-in chart study named "Comparison". The source code of this study is hidden and the chart study does not even expose any plots that we might latch onto.
