Alerts for Intraday Highs and Lows
Displays both the new highs and new lows over a time span you specify. Alerts, both audible and visual, are triggered at each new high and low throughout the time span you specify. The range in ticks (pips) from high to low is displayed in a chart label along with the high and low. This is a free custom study and the code is linked within the video.
There are some very important steps to getting things adjusted to your specifications. So be sure to watch it all the way through so you know how to adjust it.

Here is the code used to create your own custom watchlist columns as demonstrated in the video below.
Hi Pete, thank you for your awesome work. Before Scottrade was bought, I used to have their platform and in the watchlists, each time a stock reached a new high or low the cell was highlighted with green or red. If they were 52 weeks h/l the highlight was brighter. Is there a way to have this for watchlists in TOS?
“New high and low” will be limited. For most stocks the historical data available to the custom watchlist column is not sufficient to reach back that far in time. However a “52 week high and low” is possible so long as you use a daily time frame for the custom watchlist column.
Thank you for sharing your talent. Can I manipulate this code to give me the High/Low of the first 15 mins of the day? Thank you.
Are you asking if you are permitted to modify the code or are you asking how to modify the code? What you described is an opening range. Plenty of examples of those in our Q&A forum.
Hi. Thankyou for this nice site and the insights! Can you please post code/methodology to “buy at market when the price of a strangle hits low of the day”. Will be thankful.
Just to add to my comment, I meant “how to AUTO buy at market price when the price of a strangle hits low of the day” in thinkorswim. Thankyou!
This sort of functionality is not supported in Thinkorswim. Sorry.
Hi Pete, I would like an alert to use it on an entire watch list. I want to get a text alert when a stock on the watch list hit a new high or a new low during the day. Do you have a code that can achieve that? Something similar to the what you accomplished with the chart above, but for all items on my watch list.
It is not possible to generate alerts from within a watchlist. However you can set a watchlist as the top level filter for a scan. Then generate a dynamic alert from that scan. I show how to do this in the following video. Instructions begin at the 29:50 mark:

I would like assistance on creating a rsiLaGuerre scan for the Gamma plot in ToS. When I try to enter it as a custom scan I end up with zero results even when I know there should be at least one. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
A severe health issue prevents me from working at this time. Surgery is scheduled for March 6th and should begin my recover process. I will take a look at this request once I regain my strength.
I just saw your response and pray you are recovering well. Take all the time you need.
